The Yeglics
Meet Joey and Julia Yeglic, 10-year-old twins with a passion for the game. Joey stands tall between the pipes as a goaltender, while Julia brings her skill and determination to both the 10U AA team and the Loudoun Knights Girls team. This season was extra special for the Yeglics—because the twins played a great season together on the same coed team!
Hockey is truly a family affair for the Yeglics. Their mom, Charlotte, is a dedicated volunteer manager, helping keep the team running smoothly. And their commitment doesn’t stop there—the family donates their time, energy, and resources daily to help strengthen the Loudoun Knights community.
The Yeglics are proud to call Leesburg home and hope to continue playing for the Knights and at this rink for years to come.
The Christines
Meet the Christine Family.
Audrey grew up a hockey sister. Getting dragged to the rink season after season for big brother Chase. She has played every other sport, swim, cheer, basketball, gymnastics, ballet and softball. In 2024 as an 11 year old, she decided it was her turn on the ice. In a few short months thanks to the Knights staff and their unbelievable commitment to grow girls hockey, she was ready for her first travel season as a Knight. She loves hockey and all it brings, she loves her teammates, her coaches and is flourishing as a player.
Chase has been playing hockey since he was 4. He’s tried other sports, none of which fire him up the way hockey does. Those that know… hockey kids need hockey. They love the game, the environment, the competition, the physical and mental challenge. As Chase would say "It's Great!"
Chase has been a Knight since the inception of the Knights - an OG!
These kids come by their athletic abilities honestly. Their mom Michelle is a highly decorated tri athlete, competing- and winning all over the world.
Their dad, Mike is one of the Knights most favorite "game day DJs."
You can often find them all at the rink.
We are really proud of these kids and their parents. Thank you for representing what it means to be #UKNIGHTED.
The Taylors
Meet the Taylor Family.
Finn and Jack started playing hockey with the Knights in the spring of 2021 and they have never looked back.
Their dad, Brian, was an assistant coach for 3 seasons and is a head coach this season. His 10U AA team just secured the CBHL regular season title. The 2nd 10U AA team to do this in the clubs short history. They are heading to EJEPL playoffs this weekend, and have their sites set on a CBHL Tournament Championship at the end of the month.
Their younger brother Max is an honorary team member/extra little brother to all of their teammates andheir mom, Laura - an ER doctor and one of the most patient parents in the stands (in large part due to the nerves when watching her talented boys play) has helped to manage their teams in the past.
The boys have made amazing friendships through all age groups, including with the older players who love mentoring these young prospects.
